This will be a regular update of the progress in launching the site.

Thank you for taking a little time to visit our new site.  We will be producing an introduction video and getting it posted in the next few days in order to tell you directly what the different aspects of our site are all about.

But here is an idea of what the video is going to tell you.

Left margin:

At the top you will notice our Heart of all Causes.  The heart is painted in brush strokes with all of the colors imaginable.  The point is that our heart is big enough for every cause now known and those to come.

The Site Search is intuitive and allows you to see all of the terms on the site that might be typed as you enter your search terms.  Enter MS and it will pull up a few entries related to Multiple Sclerosis; type the color of a ribbon and it drops down a menu of every cause related to that color.  There are two reasons for this.  First we want to make sure that you become aware of more than the causes and issues that you are already concerned with.  Second we want to make the search easy.

Rating tool: If you see an article or a topic here on the site that you really like give it 5 stars.  See something that does not move you as much rate it a little lower.  We will use the rating system for two purposes.  First to make sure that the content is relevant and interesting.  Second to decide which causes will receive the excess benefit that we raise through the year,  For example let's say it's been a huge year and there is a balance of $100,000.00 in our accounts in December.  We will donate the excess funds raised to the causes that were most active and received the highest rating during the year.

Right Margin:

On the blog page here it has a few items related to the blog like the author list and recent entries so on but on all of the other pages it simply has the News and Calendar for our site.  You likely came here as a result of a news link on the right margin.

The Top Menu

Home: Our Landing page may have periodic or monthly updates for new events but this is primarily your welcome to the site.

Family: Our family of cooperating organizations or causes.  Fans with Faith is a member of our family of businesses with a specific NPO benefiting from the sales through their instance here.  Nail a Cause is supporting all of the causes here and you can even join the family with your own personal cause and choose to sell these items or other items that we will make available as the site grows.  Have an item of your own let us know we may decide to include it in our offering of products.

The Cause Board:  This is a Forum for your communication with the other members of the site.  You are not alone in your desire to help others or your personal connection to a cause and here is the place that you can share with others give or receive comfort.  Remember this is all about Quality of Living.

The Give Blog: You're here so it should be a little self explanatory.  We will give our announcements and coverage of promotional events here on the Give Blog.  Your comments are encouraged.

General Events: For now it is pretty simple we are posting information about the awareness issues of the month.  Soon we will post things like the Komen 3-day or information regarding other events as they are made known to us.

Causes: I never imagined there were so many different issues that we have begun to support as a society.  This is sometimes a little unusual but remember everyone of them is important to someone.  We will moderate  these to stick to the main issue of our site and that is Giving Quality of Life.

This pretty much covers it; so thanks for coming over.  Stay a while and make yourself at home.  Hop on over to the contact page and send us an e-mail.  Let us know which cause is most important to you and we might just invite you to be a contributor on the site.

Come back and see us again real soon.
